So I look forward to seeing all of you enjoying this great podcast series and giving you all the information possible and above all answering your questions to help you on your journey to health and to being of service to other people as well.

Thank you very much. Hello everyone. Today we're going to talk about viruses and specifically we're going to talk about the Epstein-Barr virus and shingles. A good thing to understand is that they both have a common ancestor, their herpes virus lineage.

So mano and chicken pox have a common lineage and they can become dormant in the body. Epstein-Barr virus is slightly different, it deviates in its actions, but they do all have a common ancestry in their viral lineage.

With that said, we focus on very similar approaches to remediating these issues. The bottom line is these types of viruses have an outbreak such as mano or chicken pox and Epstein-Barr virus and they become dormant.

So what happens? Why did they become active? Again, we must look at very specific things. In general, when the body is weak, when there's chronic inflammation, when there's a lack of nutrient foods and an abundance of simple vitamins and minerals and macronutrients, the body gets weak.

Therefore, these viruses are opportunistic. They never go away completely, but they will come back again, sometimes decades later. Today, we're focused specifically on shingles, and many people are familiar with shingles.

Oftentimes, it shows up as a rash, and it is extremely painful. As my patients would say, it resembles somebody using sandpaper on their skin or a fire. on their skin. And the reason is, is because the nerves themselves are inflamed.

Sometimes they are raw and they have been damaged and they are exposed. Therefore, it is in many ways like meeting a fire with our skin. People mention that putting on a shirt or touching their skin causes them an incredible amount of pain.

The nerves no longer have any protective cover. So what do we do about this? We want to understand the core cause of illness and our basic approach is the inner terrain theory for understanding how to approach every condition.

So in my practice, I call it the shine method, which is the inner terrain approach to disease and especially shingles and all conditions because the inner terrain approach is the understanding based upon science that we do not get attacked from the outside by germs.

We become ill because our inner terrain, our body is weak. And that makes logical sense because our bodies have an incredible amount of immune system infrastructure. And when that breaks down, we become vulnerable.

So for example, if you have two people, one with a strong immune system and one with a weak immune system and they are both exposed to the same virus, they will not both get ill from the virus. Only the person with a poor inner terrain will get ill.

So therefore we want to focus on the cause of the cause. So the shine method, as I'm saying, is is SHINE, which is number one, stress reduction. Number two is herbs. Number three is immune and microbiome building.

Number four is nutritional support. And number five is elimination of toxins or detoxification. In the case of many conditions, especially EBV or especially shingles, it is triggered by stress. And why is that?

It's because stress itself is a hit on the immune system. It is like an infection. Stress turns off processes like digestion, and therefore it goes into an alert mode. The body becomes in a survival or an alert mode.

So what we wanna do is reverse all of that. So let's go one by one, stress reduction. effectively activating the parasympathetic nervous system or the relaxation response to things like exercise, meditation, vagal tone activation through techniques as I do in my massage therapy practice, working directly on the vagus nerve and the vagal tone.

And you can do that with acupuncture and other things. So by reducing the sympathetic or fight-or-flight response, you activate the parasympathetic activation of mode of the body and therefore your body can heal more quickly because it's not in an alert mode.

The next one is herbs. Why is that? Because herbs are medicines. Herbs are incredibly targeted at very specific things. They are an advanced medicine that has been around for thousands of years and it can be utilized for things from a simple cold to as complex and important as cancer itself.

And epsimbar virus or shingles, they are no exception. The focus would be to reduce inflammation and build the immune system. Number three, the immune system and microbiome building. So again, we can utilize herbs and we want to focus on where 70 percent of our immune system comes from, which is the microbiome.

So this is the core central part of our entire body. We've probably all heard about the gut-brain access or the gut-brain communication. Well, actually the gut communicates with the brain, communicates with the heart, communicates with the skin, and it communicates with all organs.

It is a central communication link to every part of the body. So therefore the microbiome or the gut through the help of things like fermented foods, light therapy, massage therapy is critical in reducing inflammation.

The microbiome is responsible for 70% of our immune system. Therefore a healthy microbiome reduces inflammation, reduces all disease by 70 to 80 percent. That's really important. The next one in our shine paradigm is nutritional support.

Why is that? That is because it loads the body full of electrolytes and we hit the basic cause of disease. Acidity, low voltage, increased inflammation. With nutrient dense foods we increase electrolytes, alkalizing minerals.

that can reduce inflammation, increase body voltage, reduce disease, even cancer. So we need nutritional support. Nutrient-dense foods are the trick. Things like sauerkrauts or fermented foods, wheatgrass, sprouts, sea vegetables.

These are the tricks for optimum health, the baseline of core optimal health. And these are not just a baseline of general health. These are the nutritional focus on cancer institutes all over the entire world.

And lastly, in order to enable all of these things to work, we need to get things out of the way such as toxins. Toxins interfere with the cellular plumbing. Therefore, we get less nutrients. We get less oxygen into the system because we have a blockage or a resistance caused by toxicity.

So in addition to all of these things, we have adjunct therapies which can support all of this by, in a nutshell, reversing or removing a blockage, which will interfere with all of these things. The most effective way to reduce inflammation and organ challenges is a bioelectrical blockage.

In the Tamheeling system that I practice, we specifically target opening a blockage on the nerves. What does that mean? The brain-wound connection or the brain-target area is open and the functionality of organs, tissues, and glands will be enabled to be more optimal.

TAM healing system that I have adopted for the last 25 to 30 years, we target very specific nerves, very specific herbs, very specific nerves and very specific organs and very specific glands. So therefore, using Tong Ren distance healing or acupuncture, these techniques can be used to target a blockage that are creating a systemic voltage dysregulation.

This can negatively impact our entire body. Science has shown lower voltage can enhance cancer cells and can increase acidity and increase inflammation. It's that basic formula we keep coming back to.

So, if we look at all these basic core elements, it's not that a condition has a thousand names with Latin syllables that we can't pronounce, it's just the core underlying elements of the body have been compromised.

When that occurs, the body becomes weak and the different areas of the body that are the most vulnerable become weaker and break down. If, for example, the thyroid and parathyroid are that weak spot, after the core is broken, that can create issues of Hashimoto's, issues with the thyroid and parathyroid bone density.

If an organ is having a blockage, for example, a bioelectrical blockage, or a nutrient deficiency in the body by allowing things to get to that organ, that organ will malfunction. It will suffer from atrophy and it will eventually have something very important, which is an oxygen deficiency, which is a trigger for cancer.

So, all of these things are consistent. A baseline of optimal health, removing of blockages, optimizing or maximizing voltage, nutrients, oxygen in the body, because viruses such as shingles prefer an acidic, oxygen-free environment.

We've reversed that. The environment is hostile to all viruses. It is hostile to all cancers. So, this is a critical understanding. This is the real simple truth of healing that we can all access through these basic steps for all conditions.

We can enjoy optimal health. We can use medicines, such as herbs, that have no side effects, but are... Oftentimes more effective because they are in harmony with nature and a synergistic powerhouse of herbal power and natural power from nature itself and the basic concept is that the resources of nature and the resources of our own bodies are actually the most important thing.

So when we remove a blockage we unleash massive amounts of resources for our body to heal. It's very basic. In the Tongren healing approach or the Tam healing system using acupuncture or Tongren or massage therapy we open a blockage to unleash this abundance.

From a Tongren perspective it's T1 to T8 that is our immune system superpower boost which is very important. That is one part that part of the immune system deals with the bone marrow which produces immune cells.

The second part of the immune system boost is T11, T12, L4, and L5. That is the boost for the microbiome, the core central aspect of all of our healing. So therefore, if we boost the microbiome, remove blockages to the microbiome, or remove blockages to the immune system, we will reduce inflammation, we will reverse disease.

The third part of the Tongren or the Tam healing approach is targeting a very specific place. So if, for example, someone has an illness or has shingles on the skin, we focus on T4. If they have a problem on the thighs or the shins, which is not uncommon, we work on the nerves since they have been damaged by these herpes virus family of viruses.

We work on the nerve to the lower body, which is in the lumbar sacral plexus. If it's the upper body, we focus on the nerves, the brachial plexus to the arms and the torso. Very direct approach because the nerves are what are damaged.

In addition to that, we want to preserve the life of the nerves and regenerate the nerves with things like wheatgrass juice, vitamin B12. Those are accelerators of different things. And lastly, we want to increase circulation to the area.

More blood flow, more lymph drainage means faster healing. The best way to increase circulation to the area is castor oil. And another level of that is with essential oils. And a third layer of effectiveness is adding DMSO.

These are accelerators. All of these strategies can be incredibly powerful for shingles. virus, COVID, all viruses. They all hate oxygen, they all love inflammation, and they all love acidity. Reverse that, you can reverse all viruses.

Remember, our body meets about 100 million viruses every day, and our amazing system fights them off. Once in a while, some of them with special names like COVID, or Epstein-Barr, or herpes, or shingles, they get through.

But it doesn't matter. We can overwhelm them by eliminating the environment that they like. We put them out of business, and we send them on their way. Thank you for your time, and I appreciate following our discussions.

And remember, you have the power to change your health, ask questions, do your homework, and you can find solutions that have basically been around for thousands of years through common sense and holistic, integrated whole body techniques.
