Gaining Traction: The Power of Consistency in Healing
Hello, everyone, and welcome back to our podcast series called Tap into Tong Ren, stories of healing and Change. My name is Joseph Lussier, a twenty five year practitioner of this healing art called Tongren Distance Healing as well as a nine time author and many books on this specific subject to help others to learn about Tong Ren and how it works and how they can even do it themselves. Our goal is to empower people to take charge of their lives to be able to work on themselves, work on their friends, family or even patients all over the world to take charge of their own healing journey. So one of the techniques that is really beneficial for getting a higher success rate for the Tong Ren therapy is what we call traction and momentum. Today's episode is Tongren Success Through Traction and Momentum.
Joseph Lucier:And what does that mean? It means repetition, conditioning, and then basically training the body to be well, training the body to overcome disease. That's the goal. So, have you ever wondered why you do all the right things but still have no good results? How about do you feel like it's hard to stick to a consistent routine?
Joseph Lucier:Well, body is waiting for a consistent routine. That's how our body works. It needs constant reminders, constant work, constant pushes to continue to change, to continue to fight disease, to continue to grow or even gain muscle. All of these different things is that's how the body actually works. So through repetition and conditioning and different things, we must remember that it's never a one time fix.
Joseph Lucier:A lot of people think, oh, give me a pill. That'll take care of it. Well, that isn't really true. The pill may work on a symptom that may go away right away, but the underlying cause is still there, and the body needs to be conditioned to overcome that underlying cause. So some good examples in our daily life.
Joseph Lucier:Think about running. So the more you run, the body is used to it, the body adapts to that change, and it will be able to become more efficient. So imagine eating good foods on a regular basis. Our body will improve its digestion, absorption, and elimination. So therefore, we are more efficient.
Joseph Lucier:The body is trained to be more efficient. If we do less work, if we don't do exercise, as they say, sitting is a new smoking. So what you want to do is tell the body, get ready, we want you to be familiar with exercise. We want you to be familiar and to process healthy foods. Herbal medicines is very important for this as well.
Joseph Lucier:It's called pumping in a technical perspective. For myself, I'm an herbal medicine practitioner and I know that sometimes you must have an herbal tea, for example, every single day for one to two weeks. Therefore, the body will continue to gain what we call traction and momentum. Now this is a critical theory and a critical I mean, a critical application of how we use Tongren. Joseph Lucier:For myself, as a practitioner, I work on people up to one hour a day to give an intense, complete body tune up and a complete targeting of our blockages, our bioelectrical blockages, primarily focused on the spine for specific reasons. When we do that, as we mentioned before, with the case for leukemia, where the young girl got out of hospice, was declared cancer free, we were very intense, myself and the mother, every single day for probably two to three months to really reverse and gain that healing momentum for that six year old child to get out of hospice and be declared cancer free. So what we want to do is repetition is what the body wants, and these illnesses are also very strong. So they need a good push, a good punch to get back, to recede or to reverse their control over our own health. People say, How long does it take to recover?
Joseph Lucier:Well, how long did it take to get ill? Imagine if somebody was a smoker for thirty years. Well, it's gonna take quite a while. Sometimes they say one to five or one to seven years, a one to five or one to seven equivalency to actually reverse a condition. So that's actually a pretty good ratio.
Joseph Lucier:We don't have to wait that long, but it takes consistency. If somebody's been smoking for seven years, that is a conditioning of the body to adapt to a bad condition. So we want to reverse that. We want to do better than that. So another case that we have from a Tong Wen perspective is a cancer patient had breast cancer.
Joseph Lucier:She was doing one session a month. So that would be good possibly to maintain a constant state of health, but never gaining any progress to reverse a condition. And I worked with this person and I suggested, Why don't we increase the frequency? That's the deal. We need to increase the frequency of our sessions, do more, so the body will start to get momentum.
Joseph Lucier:This person did that. After a long time of basically maintaining, never making any progress, and still having that condition occurring in her body. She increased the frequency, and then she was getting something almost every day. As I said, through our service, our global service at Tongren Station, just as I offer on Thursday nights at six p. M.
Joseph Lucier:A free streaming service where people can come at 6PM eastern time, put in their request, and get a mini session. This is contributing to our traction and momentum because the gap between this healing push is shorter. That's how it works. And it works really well when we continue that. So when I treat people all over the world, I say, in addition to what we do on a daily basis, get these mini sessions at different times of the day.
Joseph Lucier:They're offered throughout the world, primarily from The United States, but you can even watch the recording. It sounds very unusual, but it is actually something that you can do. You can actually watch the recording because your consciousness will connect to the collective unconscious, and then your body will still respond in a very positive way. That is actually a thing, and it actually works. So, in general, what I recommend are three modes of the frequency of treating people.
Joseph Lucier:Number one, regular maintenance. Maintenance for once a week, that's very beneficial to keep giving momentum if people have recovered and the people are just trying to maintain a constant state of health and to prevent further conditions. But that's good if you're in a good state, if you're maintaining good healthy nutrition and exercise as well to combat disease that you've had in the past or combat new disease that may come up. For medium seriousness, I suggest three times a week. What that means is you're pumping every other day.
Joseph Lucier:In between, I always suggest, as I said before, the group healing sessions, the international group healing sessions. This is three times a week. This is a bit more aggressive, but it's good if people are in the middle of a serious condition or healing crisis. In a more serious condition, say stage four metastasized cancer, every single day is critically important. So I have some people I work with on a daily basis.
Joseph Lucier:They're in Europe at this very moment. So what we want to do is really have no chance, no chance at all for the challenge or the healing the healing challenge such as a virus or a bacteria or an infection or some other thing happening, we wanna give no chance for them to gain momentum. A really good example is when I personally had COVID. I've had it several times and I've always treated it the same with herbs, rest, heat and light therapies, of course, Tongren. These types of things make the body very strong so that the illness becomes very weak and gets overwhelmed.
Joseph Lucier:One instance when I had COVID, I had done all the same things. I had it a few times, and a couple of times it was my fault. I left the country during the COVID time because I had an important meeting to attend to. I came back through an international airport, and me and probably a thousand other people were exposing each other to various conditions. And you'll have that.
Joseph Lucier:So that was important. But I recovered from that. Another time, after being housebound for quite some time, I said, I need to get out. I need to go back into the world for a little while because I worked in clinics and those were shut down by COVID. So I said, can do something because it was towards the end of the COVID process.
Joseph Lucier:So what I did is I decided there was amazing concert coming up from one of my favorite musicians, not that it matters here, but that's Tory Amos. And I says, I need to go to this concert. I need to get out. I need to start to be reintegrated into the outside world because I had become quite isolated. And my clinic work in New York and in Massachusetts, it got shut down.
Joseph Lucier:So I did go to that concert. And yes, there were hundreds of people there. And, yes, I came back with another session of COVID, another round of COVID. So what happened this time is I was doing all the regular things, but I wasn't gaining enough traction and momentum. So I was doing Tong Ren, I was doing red light therapy, doing herbal herbals, herbal teas and, you know, hot herbal teas and other foods as well to try to reverse this condition.
Joseph Lucier:So, from my experience with herbs and from the experience I'm trying to convey to you with Tongren therapy, sometimes we need aggressive pumping. So what I decided to do, because I was basically in a serious crisis mode, At times during COVID, I had a fever as high as 104. I got through all of them perfectly fine, but at this particular time I decided every two hours I will take a larger dose of herbal antibiotics, totally safe. There are herbal versions of antibiotics available. So for twenty four hours, every two hours, I took a stronger remedy of herbal antibiotics.
Joseph Lucier:I woke myself up to make sure that I pump this herbal remedy every two hours for twenty four hours. And guess what? I caught that traction. I caught that momentum, and I became stronger than the illness. That's the goal.
Joseph Lucier:You want to be stronger than the illness. You want to build the body so strong that illness and disease is now weakened and will eventually pass and go away. Joseph Lucier:M. Therefore, people will gain that traction, gain healing momentum. But of course, you must empower yourself to take charge of your life. Focus on other lifestyle medicines, such as healing herbs, such as diet and nutrition, which is critically important because we do that three times a day. We are basically pumping, conditioning the body three times a day.
Joseph Lucier:So you better get it right. That's what I recommend. So remember, you don't want to uncondition your body with bad foods three times a day a thousand times a year, especially if you have a healing crisis. So these are the types of things. And exercise, our body is built to move.
Joseph Lucier:If you don't move, it is a conditioning to tell the body to move less. It will continue to move less and have less and less capacity to move. So that's what we need to do. Consistency is the key with everything we do in life, and especially for the body.
Joseph Lucier:It has all these systems, an immune system, a digestive system, a lymph system, a detoxification system. All of these systems only do what they're told. If we tell it to heal, it will heal. If we do nothing, it will get no message. The brainwound connection, which is critically important, will no longer be activated to heal.
Joseph Lucier:So with Tongren, we have the superpower of being able to open up a blockage, to allowing those amazing resources to start to gain that healing momentum. So one thing I need to tell everyone, don't ever give up hope. Once you do this consistently, you can gain that healing momentum. You can overcome disease. You can shock doctors that tell people you have two months to live, but you can change that.
Joseph Lucier:I know people, for example, in our group healing session in person because we can do it online or in person, there was one specific case where a person came in, they were diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and told that they had two months to live. I met that person and I said, Don't give up. Don't lose hope. There are other options. That's one of the takeaways from this series.
Joseph Lucier:Think differently. Do your homework. There are other options, Tongren and other things, whatever works. But as I said in the very first podcast, as we spoke about the history, medicine from Asia, from North America, from Europe, from indigenous nature nations have given us over twenty thousand years of experience. Think about it.
Joseph Lucier:Focus on it and utilize it for your own self. So what we want to do is gain this healing momentum for others. And in that class, that in person class of Tongren Healing Therapy with the creator of our healing modality, Tom Tam himself, when that person came in, I could see the fear in their eyes. They were terrified because a doctor had just told them, you have pancreatic cancer and you will die within two months. I told that person, Come with me.
Joseph Lucier:Talk to this person over here. They were told the same thing five years ago. And they're still here and they're doing great. And look how happy they are. They've overcome.
Joseph Lucier:They've gained that healing momentum because hope is also one of the most important factors that you need. Don't ever give up. That is the homework that I give to all of my patients. Your homework is not to give up. Then you will gain that healing momentum.
Joseph Lucier:You won't have resistance from your own conscious mind. You will enable the body to receive positive healing energy going forward. So in a final quote, I'd like to say, the most important thing you can do to achieve your goals, which also include healing, is to make sure that as soon as you set them, you immediately begin to create momentum.
